Solid State Sensors

A research studentship leading to the degree of Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor D J Fray and funded by Pilkington plc. will be available for research into the properties of solid electrolytes and their application as sensors.

The studentship will be available from March 1st 1996 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates should have or be expected to obtain a good first degree in chemistry, materials science or metallurgy, with some experience and interest in solid electrolytes and/or electrochemistry.
